Flybe & TrustFlight: Making affordable service a reality

Flybe Ltd is the latest airline operator to partner with TrustFlight through implementing our digital suite of tools. Having launched this past April, Flybe operates routes throughout the UK and EU. Their planned fleet consists of 32 De Havilland Dash 8-400 planes, which along with quieter and similar speed performance as a jet, produces 35% less CO2 per seat.

Through the use of our digital Tech Log and Centrik systems, and AMOS integrations, they will be able to ensure the highest degrees of safety, compliance, and airworthiness. TrustFlight’s cutting edge technology and technical expertise will enable Flybe to provide customers with efficient service at a highly competitive price.

Flybe Chief Technical Officer, Ron Karger, noted: “We started working closely with TrustFlight earlier this year, a relationship that has helped us realise our vision for a new, reliable, and compliant Flybe fleet, which will be made up entirely of De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 (Q400) aircraft. We’re delighted to announce this new partnership and we look forward to an even stronger relationship with TrustFlight as we scale up our operation.”

As part of Centrik, TrustFlight’s powerful operational management solution, the EASA-endorsed digital Tech Log application provides Flybe’s flight crew and engineering teams with remote access to real time operational status, flight, and maintenance history of the aircraft. The system places asset data in one user-friendly iPad application, removing the need for paper processes, helping to eliminate clerical errors and deliver significant improvements in efficiency.

Flybe also uses TrustFlight’s Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) services as well as its Computer Maintenance Tracking System provided by Swiss-AS (AMOS) to ensure maximum reliability and regulatory compliance across the fleet. In addition, Flybe will also benefit from enhanced internal operations capabilities all managed in one place through the use of the cloud-based software Centrik. This solution allows a better handling of core components of airline operations such as safety, risk, compliance, documents, training and more.

Karl Steeves, our own CEO, mentioned just how pleased TrustFlight is to be working with Flybe. He added: “We believe our integrated approach of providing technology-enabled airworthiness services, alongside the leading Centrik and Tech Log systems, will enable Flybe to reach new levels of safety and efficiency within the industry.”
