On 26 April 2026, TrustFlight team member Steven Farrugia will take on 26.2 miles through the streets of London to raise money for the National Autistic Society. From the Cutty Sark to Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace, Steven will be running one of the world’s most iconic races for a cause that is deeply personal to him.

Why Steven Is Running

For Steven, this is about more than a marathon. His daughter is currently waiting for an autism assessment, facing a minimum wait of 22 months. During that time, Steven has tried to research and better understand autism, but found it difficult to access the information and support his family needs.

By raising money for the National Autistic Society, the UK’s largest autism charity, Steven hopes to help the organisation reach more families in the same position and improve access to vital resources for the 700,000 autistic people across the country.

In his own words:

“My daughter should not have to change the way she sees the world, the world should change how it sees her. This is the same for anyone who has autism.”

About the National Autistic Society

The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for autistic people. It provides support, guidance, and advocacy for autistic individuals and their families, working to transform understanding and create a society that works for autistic people. Funds raised go towards:

  • Information and advice for autistic people and their families
  • Campaigning for better services and policy change
  • Training and education to improve public understanding of autism
  • Support services including helplines, school programmes, and community groups
