Baines Simmons, TrustFlight’s training and consulting capability, will be exhibiting at the International Aviation Safety Summit (IASS) 2026, taking place at the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montréal, Canada on November 10-12, 2026. Organised by Flight Safety Foundation, IASS is the Foundation’s annual safety conference and has been held every year since 1947, bringing together up to 400 safety leaders, industry executives, and regulators from more than 50 countries.

About IASS 2026

The 79th edition of the summit asks a pointed question: “Is Aviation Really Ready to Scale Safely?” Under the banner of Leadership for Growth, Complexity, and Disruption, the three-day programme combines expert-led sessions with interactive round tables, an exhibit marketplace for safety products and services, and the Foundation’s awards dinner.

ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar is due to give the opening keynote on Tuesday 10 November, with general sessions supported by Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer across the three days.

  • Human factors, training, and mental health
  • Maintenance and engineering
  • Offshore operations
  • Practical solutions for operators managing growth, complexity, and disruption

Meet Baines Simmons in Montréal

Baines Simmons builds the competence behind aerospace and defence safety. Over 25 years it has served 750+ organisations, advised 40+ regulatory authorities, and trained 200,000+ professionals. As TrustFlight’s training and consulting capability, Baines Simmons delivers specialist training and consultancy in safety management, human factors, and compliance, alongside professional services including CAMO, AOC, and postholder support.

The summit’s question, whether aviation is ready to scale safely, is ultimately a question about people. Fleets and routes can grow quickly. The competence, judgement, and safety culture needed to run them safely take longer to build. Human factors, training, and safety management maturity sit at the centre of the 2026 agenda, and they are the disciplines Baines Simmons has worked in for a quarter of a century. Helping organisations show that their people and their management systems are performing, rather than simply compliant on paper, is the work Baines Simmons does.

Because Baines Simmons sits inside TrustFlight, the Aerospace Safety Intelligence Platform, that expertise connects directly to safety and compliance technology through Centrik 5 and Tech Log, to security assurance through Redline Assured Security, and to crisis management and response through Kenyon International. Training, oversight technology, and response planning stop being separate conversations with separate providers. Trusted by 1,600+ organisations across 120 countries.
